Hiking in Saalbach Hinterglemm

400 kilometres of hiking trails – a figure that speaks for itself. There are tours of all difficulty levels, with seasoned alpinists sure to have as wonderful a time as those seeking to enjoy walks at a leisurely pace. There are four cable cars in operation over the summer months in Saalbach Hinterglemm. These can be used free of charge with the JOKER CARD ‒ please consult the timetable!

A bike holiday in Saalbach Hinterglemm

Saalbach Hinteglemm has long been considered a mecca for cyclists. 400 kilometres of bike tours, exciting downhill stretches and countless endurance routes entice people from around the globe to enjoy the gently undulating Pinzgau Grass Mountains. Bike transport is also included in the JOKER CARD so there’s nothing to stop you from enjoying pleasurable bike tours up in the clouds and carefree days of freeriding!

Children in particular will have a whale of a time in the Glemmtal valley.

Our tips:

Montelinos adventure trail
This trail winds its way from the Kohlmais mountain station to the middle station – there are several play stations and fun puzzles to be solved. Highlights: the game reserve and regular wild animal feeding sessions are not to be missed! You can read more here…

Kodok mountain
From the village of Hinterglemm 4 kilometres away the red cabins of the Reiterkogelbahn cable car ascend the mountain of the same name. For small children there are fun play stations and a puzzle while older children have GPS devices for the Kodok expedition. Great fun for all ages! More information…

The valley head adventure There is a large free car park at the valley head from where the popular Noddy train runs to the Lindlingalm mountain hut. When you arrive you’ll find a real land of adventure! At Schnitza’s wood park visitors can enjoy extreme crazy golf, great play stations and an abundance of other fantastic activities. The Devil’s Water park offers welcome respite on a hot day with a rock pool and great play facilities. The Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps and the Tree-top Path captivate visitors wishing to admire the region from a lofty vantage point while Europe’s largest high ropes park is an ideal destination for thrill-seekers. It’s well worth paying a visit ‒ kids are sure to have the time of their life!
